Tibet Lhasa to Zetang high-grade highway bridge erection project
In the construction of Tibet S5 Lhasa to Zetang Expressway, Zhengzhou Jianghe Heavy Industry undertook the section from Dazi to Shannan, with an elevation of about 3800 meters. The project includes 15 large and extra-large bridges with spans of 20m, 30m, and 40m. The 20m spans use small box girders, while 30m and 40m spans use T-beams. The highest pier is 89m with a minimum curve radius of 400m.
Jianghe Heavy Industry dispatched an experienced and strong team, using two YQ170-40 bridge erecting machines for installation, and two modified YL200 beam carriers for transporting the beams. The special harsh climate of the Tibetan Plateau severely tested the performance of the mechanical equipment and the skills and adaptability of the construction personnel. Even so, our footprints were deeply left in this sacred and distant place!
